Description: Students in this course will gain foundation of baking and pastry including Tarts and pies, cakes, cookies, breads, muffins, pastries, chocolate and desserts. Activities include make-up of pie dough and sweet dough, rolling exercises, piping exercises, masking cakes, basic decorating cakes and cookies, basic knowledge of tempering chocolate, bread make-up, and so on.  

Demonstration, practical lab experience, class discussion, question and answer will be employed. Recipes and ingredients will be provided in class. Students will take home the product that they make in each class.
